This weeks’ wedding was that of Vanessa and Callum who had been planning their day for coming up to a year. Having chosen Hog Roast Edmonton as their wedding caterers last March we had been able to guide them through the planning process and actually recommended a lot of the suppliers they ended up going with. We always like to do everything we can to help people out when planning an event, especially a wedding as they are notoriously stressful. Fortunately, Vanessa and Callum had managed to stay organised and had everything under control so they could get excited about their special day with no unnecessary worries or stresses.
The wedding was being held at the local chapel and the reception was taking place at a nearby barn conversion. We arrived mid-morning to get set up for a 4pm serve time and were wowed by the venue. The venue team had decorated the barn beautifully with balloons, candles and fairy lights to really create a romantic and magical feel to the barn. With a guest list of one hundred people, the wedding managed to stay intimate and we knew we had to impress with our food.
Setting our traditional whole roasted hog on to cook we began preparing accompaniments and creating the elaborate canapes that the couple had requested. In no time we were ready and all that was left to do was wait for the newlyweds and their guests to arrive…
