One of the great things about our job is being involved in helping people celebrate major milestones in their lives and the most recent happy occasion the Hog Roast Lutterworth team had the pleasure of catering for, was the christening of baby Oliver! New parents Vicky and Simon couldn’t wait to show off their new son to all their family and friends and they wanted every part of the day to be perfect. The food is of course, such an important part of any event, and they wanted to make sure they got it right. Being massive pork fans, they thought a hog roast would be great, but with several of their guests having specific dietary needs, they were worried that this might not be the most appropriate option. Luckily, they changed their minds after they saw our menus, all of which include a wide range of different dishes that appeal to all tastes and meet all dietary requirements!
They opted for a sociable buffet rather than a more formal 3 course meal, as they wanted everyone to have the opportunity to meet the new addition to the family properly after the christening. Hog Roast Lutterworth’s signature slow roasted pork may have been the star of the show (apart from baby Oliver of course!) but our appealing variety of salad options, veggie skewers and gluten-free bread rolls, ensured everyone in the family’s needs were met and all the guests were able to enjoy a nice meal together as they celebrated Oliver’s big day! Vicky and Simon couldn’t get enough of our ethically-reared premium quality pork, whilst also being safe in the knowledge that our buffet was varied enough to please every generation of the family too!
It was a lovely afternoon and the ideal environment for officially welcoming a new life into the world and the Hog Roast Lutterworth team felt privileged to be a part of it. We were so happy that everyone loved our food and had such a nice celebration with the proud parents and their new son, and hopefully we’ll see them again soon at their next family gathering!
