Freya has worked as a magazine editor since she graduated from university almost 15 years ago. During this time, she has worked in all kinds of roles as she aimed towards becoming the chief editor of a fashion magazine. Earlier this summer she began the interview process for her dream job and has recently found out that she has been selected for the role! Her friends and family all know how much she wanted this job, so her husband is planning a surprise party to celebrate the occasion. The party will take place at their home, with Hog Roast Hornsey on hand to provide a delicious hog-roast for the guests to enjoy.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Hornsey team arrived at Freya’s home in the afternoon and we began to prepare for the 7:00pm serving time. We started by slow-roasting the hog to perfection and allowing it to cook on-site for around five hours. Once the pork was ready, it was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free alternative to pork. The main dishes were accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a fresh salad dish, creating a varied and delicious evening buffet. When Freya arrived at home, she couldn’t believe that all of her friends and family were there to celebrate the great news with her. The party was a lot of fun and our menu was a great addition to the event!
