Here is just one option you could enjoy…Sophie and her fiancé have been together since they met at university over five years ago. This summer, the pair got engaged while enjoying a beautiful evening picnic on a holiday in France. Upon their return, they wanted to plan the perfect engagement party to celebrate the occasion with their friends and family. For the party, the couple planned to invite 30 of their friends and family to their home in Merseyside, including one of their friends who has offered to DJ for the occasion. Additionally, Hog Roast Edgware has been hired to cater for the occasion, leaving the hosts to make the most of the party. For the menu, our catering manager Sam will be serving a classic hog roast, which is sure to be a great addition to the event.
On the day of the party, Sam and the Hog Roast Edgware team arrived at the private venue in the morning and began to prepare for the 4:00pm serving time. We started our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the pork was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we served BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious veggie main dish. The guests also enjoyed a variety of sides, including homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, and a selection of fresh salad dishes. Our catering was a great addition to the party and it was great to see the hosts celebrating their engagement with their guests.
