Our Hog Roast Metuchen experts are highly proficient in providing all kinds of food for all types of parties and events, including alternatives to our signature food in terms of both meat and non-meat dishes, various tasty standalone menus like our Southern Slow Roast and Loaded Fries which make it easy for you to choose a set menu in advance, as well as additional courses so that you can design your own menu from scratch if preferred. To make one of our mouth watering traditional centrepieces, we head to your venue on the day of your special occasion, several hours before service, as it takes a long time for a hog to slowly sizzle to absolute perfection. After preparing the top-quality, locally-sourced meat, we keep an eye on it as it cooks at a low temperature for an age, and then once we have a crispy outside, full of salty crackling, and a soft and moist inside, with meat that will just melt in your mouth, we carve away.
You may prefer your hog roast as pigs in buns, which is our name for hog roast rolls, where we fill soft, floury wraps and rolls with meat, crackling and our homemade duo of apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing. If you prefer a sit-down meal instead, we can plate up the hog roast and trimmings together with your choice of vegetables and potatoes and then smother in our own onion gravy. Either way, it’s a taste sensation to savour and not rush and we’re sure you’ll be back for seconds.
If you’re inviting any guests with different tastes, we can spit-roast their favourite meat, and special diets like vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free can be easily catered as long as we have advance notice.
