Hog Roast Sileby for a Rugby World Cup Final Party!

As another great years for sports fans is drawing to a close, the nation was glued to their television sets once again to watch England play in the rugby world cup final against South Africa! For a local rugby club, this was a particularly exciting prospect and they decided to gather everyone together to watch it at the club and make a proper celebration out of it! They wanted some great grub for everyone to enjoy whilst watching the match but Alan, the manager of the club’s social events, didn’t want to miss a minute of the action by having to do the catering himself! This is why he decided to hire Hog Roast Sileby to provide some of our unbeatable slow roasted pork sandwiches served with our signature crispy crackling and homemade apple sauce to feed to members and their families whilst they enjoyed the match!

Hog Roast SilebyThe Hog Roast Sileby chef and his multiskilled catering assistant arrived at the rugby club long before the match was due to start so that, as always, we could make everything scratch on-site. As the excitement mounted for the big showdown in Japan, we stayed focused on the task at hand – slow roasting our delicious ethically-reared pork to perfection and ensuring it was ready to be served half an hour before the match started!

After spending several hours doing exactly that we were ready to serve bang on time and the crowded club was very pleased when the chef carved our melt in the mouth meat after the tempting aroma of it had been filling the function room!

We kept the eager rugby fan fuelled with our hearty hog roast sandwiches during the match, which helped to keep everyone’s spirits up when the result didn’t go England’s way! The rugby crowd may have been disappointed with the match but they certainly weren’t disappointed with the food and everyone still managed to have a great time thanks to Hog Roast Sileby’s crowd pleasing pork sandwiches served with all the trimmings and Alan was very grateful to us for helping him to keep everyone’s chins up as the final whistle blew!
