Every year, schools across the country celebrate the achievements of their Year 11 students as they prepare to embark on college or apprenticeships. Typically held at an elegant venue, schools organise special proms to give students the opportunity to dress in their finest attire and leave behind exam stress in a well-deserved celebration. It serves almost as a grand finale to their secondary school years, offering a chance to make lasting memories with friends and classmates who they may be parting ways with in the near future. At Hog Roast Enfield, we understand the importance of these special moments and are dedicated to providing a culinary experience for guests with different dietary needs and tastes.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Enfield team will arrive at the venue in the afternoon, to get the culinary process underway. We’ll start preparing the dishes on-site, for the requested 8pm serving time, so that the pork has plenty of time to roast on the spit until it results in a crispy golden-brown skin. Once the hog is ready, it will be expertly carved and served in fresh, warm bread rolls, accompanied by our signature sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce.
For students who are seeking an alternative, we offer vegetarian options such as halloumi skewers, BBQ-pulled jackfruit (a plant-based option to pulled pork), and even mac & cheese. As for sides? They’ll love homemade chips and sweet potato fries, fresh green leaf salads and tender corn on the cob. Our aim is to make sure that everyone in attendance can tuck into something they enjoy. And, if there happened to be any problems, we’ll be on-hand to create customised dishes for those with strict diets or allergies.
