To celebrate the end of their school career, a local secondary school arranged an awards night for pupils in their final year. The awards night featured live music from talented students, as well as a presentation of photos from throughout their time at school. To finish off the evening, the students were presented with awards to mark their achievements, celebrating their exam grades, extracurricular achievements, and personal developments. We were asked to provide our slow-roasted pig menu for 300 students and staff members. To prepare for this event we began by slow-roasting a large hog on the day of the event, ensuring to lock in the natural juices and flavours. For vegetarian guests, we prepared tasty halloumi and vegetable skewers, served with a selection of fresh dips. Alongside the main dishes, we also prepared home style chips, sweet potato fries, coleslaw and caesar salad. The meals were served with fresh bread rolls and wraps, along with gluten-free alternatives. This was a delicious and cost-effective way to feed the students and it was a great treat to mark the end of their school journey.
