After Adam finally popped the question to his long-term girlfriend Lucy, after all the years of waiting for him to propose, she couldn’t wait to celebrate the good news and show off her engagement ring to all of her family and friends!
Since they both love the great outdoors, they decided having an outdoor engagement party was an absolute must, but at first, they thought that this might cause problems in the catering department. They wanted high quality fresh food that could be prepared outdoors but they weren’t sure if they would be able to find a catering company who could fulfil all of their requirements. This was before they encountered the Hog Roast Middlesex team, and as soon as they got in touch with us, they knew we were exactly what they had been looking for! They loved the fact that we make everything from scratch, regardless of the environment we are cooking in, how we only ever use the best ethically-reared meat and locally-sourced ingredients in all of our dishes, and how we are able to provide varied menus that suit everyone’s tastes, even if some of their guests didn’t eat pork!
The couple decided on one of our signature hog roasts (they are the best in the area after all!), with crispy crackling and velvety apply sauce, alongside a vegetarian option for their 5 guests who didn’t eat meat, all served with homemade coleslaw, tomato and basil salad and jacket wedges!
There is nothing better than the aroma of Hog Roast Middlesex’s slow-roasted pork wafting through the air at outdoor events, and when everyone arrived at the venue stomachs were soon rumbling! Lucy’s shiny new engagement ring may have been the star attraction, but as our talented chef began to carve the tender meat, our hog roast was definitely a close second!
It was a happy occasion with great food courtesy of Hog Roast Middlesex, and thanks to our ability to cook so well alfresco and provide options that please everyone, the newly engaged couple are also considering hiring us for their actual wedding!
