The excitement of the clients when they contacted Hog Roast Quorn was almost palpable over the phone as they had an extremely unusual event that needed catering. It was a Hog Roast Quorn first; they were to cater a glamorous midwinter ball! The event was extremely formal and held in a private house of grand scale, but every penny raised was to go towards a local charity. The team couldn’t wait to get stuck in with the planning!
The clients who contacted the firm had a very specific idea in mind and the team were more than ready to pitch in with creative solutions to make that dream a reality. It was unanimously decided due to the active nature of the ball and the extensive guest list, that a luxurious buffet would be better than a sit down meal.
In order to achieve this balance of serving food and blending into the background at such a glistening event, the team thought it best to have wait staff serving canapés as the guests arrived. It was also agreed that there should be a minimal complement of staff to help at the buffet, so everything would have to be ready well in advance of the serving time.
The number one thing the clients wanted at this event, aside from good food, was discretion of the staff. The team made sure that they would tidy away hastily after the buffet had been thoroughly enjoyed by the guests so that the evening could continue.
On the day of the ball the team arrived with plenty of time to prepare the serving platters of canapés and platters of main dish choices. The meat was freshly cooked in the five hours before the event started, and when it was time to start serving the buffet the meat was expertly carved and added to the previously prepared platters.
The event itself was a beautiful occasion, the guests looked lovely and they all enjoyed the food. As the Hog Roast Quorn team tidied away after having served the buffet, the clients found the team and thanked them. The catering had been everything they wanted and more.
