There was a Hog Roast Binley Woods first recently, when the team were hired to cater for a TV series party. The clients who contacted Hog Roast Binley Woods were throwing a party to celebrate the start of the multi-part series finale of British Television Sci-Fi show Doctor Who.
The event was put on by the clients for their die-hard ‘Whovian’ friends. There was a guest list of 10 ‘Whovians’ (as the Doctor Who fans affectionately label themselves) to feed. The party itself was to take place at the clients’ house a few hours before the transmission time of the show.
The Hog Roast Binley Woods team sent their very own Doctor Who fan to cater the event, as they felt that it would be unfair to deprive their teammate of the opportunity to mingle with fellow fans. The Chef from the team arrived at the clients’ house several hours before the 5pm serving time; this was so there was ample time to freshly prepare and cook all the delicious dishes the client had chosen.
The clients’ bespoke catering package included the set up of the serving table, as well as high quality disposable cutlery and crockery for their guests. So the Chef from Hog Roast Binley Woods team had to set everything up by themself, but they were more than capable of doing so.
When 5pm rolled around the Chef had prepared lots of delicious dishes, including: BBQ Pork Butt, grilled vegetable wraps, crunchy coleslaw, Mac and Cheese and loaded fries. But the biggest attraction to the buffet menu was the succulently sizzled, slow roasted Classic Hog Roast, which was served with soft floured rolls. The guests and clients loved all the dishes and were in awe that just one member of the Hog Roast Binley Woods team had created so much!
As the Chef tidied away after the guests had enjoyed all the tasty dishes on offer there was an air of contentment. The event had gone very well and the whole team are now looking forwards to the next TV party they will be invited to cater!
